- Note from Dan Grayson...... Good news and bad news.
^ good news - fewer maintenance issues such as keyboard repairs.... lots of compliments
^ bad news - some of the campuses have been using "recycled toner". Do not use recycled ink. If you have recycled ink, send it back to the vendor. Do not put any more recycled ink in a printer. If it explodes, they you will have to replace the printer with campus funds. Dan says, "Recycled toner cartridges are remanufacture without replacing key components or major parts. Hence, the cost is reduced. When recycled cartridges start to fail they can cause damage to many other parts of the printer. We do not have the resources in our department to clean a major spill. That responsibility must be given back to the campus when their choice is to use recycled cartridges ."
